Chinese Eucalyptus citriodora Oil is steam‑distilled from the fresh leaves and twigs of Eucalyptus citriodora(lemon‑scented gum), a tree widely grown in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, and Fujian in southern China. It is a colorless to pale or greenish‑yellow clear liquid with a strong, bright, fresh lemon‑citrus, slightly herbaceous aroma—much more citrusy than blue eucalyptus oil.

The oil’s star component is citronellal (65–85%), plus citronellol, geraniol, 1,8‑cineole, and pinene. It delivers powerful insect repellency, antibacterial, antifungal, anti‑inflammatory, deodorizing, and mood‑uplifting effects.
